Located onthe River Thames, Canning Town was formerly
dedicated to river trade and is known as the "Docks" (part of what
was historically called the “Victoria Docks”). The area has recently been
entirely rehabilitated and you can find some of the most beautiful apartments
with views of the river, many yacht clubs, concert halls, clubs, etc. The
district operates around three major attractions: the historic docks (Victoria Dock,
Albert Dock and George V Dock), its international airport (London City airport)
and university (University of East London).
wise, you can easily reach Central London through the Silverlink, Jubilee line and
Docklands light railways. For those who do not get seasick, you can always use the
ferry between Woolwich and North Woolwich ! And of course, you are just a few
