Hammersmith - photo #1

Hammersmith is at the far west of what we call the "West End". The further you go west, the more affordable the rent gets. Hammersmith is located west of Earls Court, North of Fulham, South of Shepherds Bush and east of Chiswick. Hammersmith is a desirable area for busy officer worker for several reasons. It has a major bus station and links to 3 underground lines (Hammersmith & City, District and Piccadilly lines). The high street features many local and fashion stores (including Primark, Marks & Spencer and an enormous Boots store) as well as two supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsbury). The river side gets very popular during the summer and it is possible to walk all the way through Chiswick down the river path.

The most desirable areas in Hammersmith are considered to be Hammersmith Grove, Brook Green, the riverside and Brackenbury Village. However, it is a fairly safe area and you will find many two stories Vitoria conversions within 10 minutes walk from the station.
