Mansion House is the the official residence of the Lord Mayor of the City of London and is located in front of the Bank of England. The House is mainly used for official meetings of the city, an annual dinner in which the Chancellor of the Exchequer takes the opportunity to make a speech about the state of the British economy but also for fundraisings and charitable events.
The location called the same name generally refers to the area around the Mansion House as well as the tube station named after it. It is located in zone one and is particularly convenient for the City and the Docklands. Many offices are based close to Mansion House so there are not that many accommodation on offer.
