Properties to rent in Waterloo, SE1

Waterloo is an area of London situated opposite Charing Cross, on the south bank of the river Thames, and can be reached through the Waterloo Bridge. As you would have guessed, the area is named after the Battle of Waterloo! Before being moved to Saint Pancras station, the Eurostar arrived in Waterloo station, which caused a French politician to ask for the name to be changed – which was of course denied.
The surroundings of Waterloo mainly attract tourists visiting the London Eye, the Aquarium, view the Parliament across the Thames and walk along side the banks up to the Tate Modern. Compared to other central locations, accommodations around Waterloo are slightly less expensive than average (but still quite expensive). You will find great flats, houses and trendy conversion lofts moving further east to Southwark.
